Advocacy: Community

ADVOCACY: COMMUNITY

The Texas Education Agency in general depends upon your lack of substantive, actionable knowledge of how the agency and political forces have manipulated the game of public education accountability to the detriment of your children and communities. Sadly, too many school districts with under-informed school board members have been “drafted” as administrative enforcers of this system. It is a vicious circle that ONLY your informed knowledge and advocacy can change.

The team of experts that work with AEA can help you organize:

  1. Targeted and full-scope research projects for your entire district or campuses within your district.
  2. Come to your community to lead group workshops and training sessions for your leadership and supportive citizens to help all of you get on a level playing field with your school district.
  3. Help you with printed material including press releases and any form of public communication that would be helpful to you.
  4. A ready-made website outlet (AEA) to provide an immediate resource for your public communications. Or, use our website to support your existing communication strategies.

The bottom line? AEA has the cumulative expertise to give your group and your community a knowledgeable and forceful resource to become more effective in your community advocacy efforts.

You can search tables we have posted on more recent STAAR student academic performance results that are maintained in EXTERNAL REPORTS to see if we have already included some information on your district in our historical reporting. While the documents are in PDF form, you can still search each one to see if your district is there to start gain some insight.

We are ready to help you, your organization, and your community get totally up to speed to help you become more advocates in your district.

Be advised that in the very near future, we are going to ‘template’ what we can do in your community with a full focus on the Katy I.S.D.
